Eira is the pseudonym of Eli McLean, an experimental sound artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia. His work is centred mostly around sample-based, electroacoustic production that explores concepts of world music, inter-cultural communication and aural reception – in short, sound as object as feeling.
Taken from Solitary Wave Launch Film, celebrating the release of the New Weird Australia compilation. Made during Corona quarantine, the film features fourteen clips from eclectic and experimental Australian artists, many of which were made exclusively for this release.
